"A self-taught Guitarist from the age of 12. Influenced by Led Zeppelin, Free, Deep Purple, UFO, Tchaikovsky and Mozart initially and many others since. I write whatever comes to mind although I tend to write in the rock genre, I prefer to think of all music as orchestrated instruments, that includes vocal parts, therefore I tend to write to achieve more of an Audio Soundscape than a 'song' I have written a classical album and I'm working on another. I have around 15 albums to my name and try to write whenever the urge takes me. I believe in giving an audience a show rather than just standing there playing guitar after all it is essentially entertainment that your there to provide! The guitarists I respect the most are Paul Kossoff, Lesley West, Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Michael Schenker and Michael Le Firkins there are many others who influence me at different times. I love to play live and I've been playing live for over 35 years on and off, I'm currently putting a band together to play live with."

Dave has a significant back catalog of material which is available directly from his website www.daveburn.net

Reviews

Colin Smoult in Riffs Online Magazine - 2004 review of Laced With Blue
This new release is superbly mixed & recorded, making it astounding to think it was all done at home on a computer.
The quality (considering its limited budget) is mind-blowing, and the performances on all the tracks are outstanding.
This time Dave kept the selection down to just 10 tracks, but with them all being guitar instrumentals,
then this is the perfect amount that is easy to digest in one listening.
He wears his influences proudly on his sleeve, and from listening to the playing you can hear how much the likes of
Joe Satriani and Michael Schenker have inspired him. Anybody who is a fan of music of this ilk
should make a point of begging, stealing, borrowing, or preferably buying a copy of this album -
if you love that guitar hero stuff then this is an essential purchase for all rock music fans.
